Whoa! Didn't see this coming either!

It's the end of the year, people, and that means Breyer is trying to get those last few holdouts to join the clubs before signups end! To that effect, this was revealed earlier today!

That's right - a miniature Georg is going to be the Premier Club freebie Stablemate for 2022! Oh, my stars. If I hadn't already given in and rejoined the club last night, along with the Stablemates Club, I definitely would have had to after seeing this. It's been a while since we've gotten to see the PC Stablemate ahead of time, so I'm definitely glad they showed it to us! I can't wait to see what color he's going to come in.

In other news, the Collector Club newsletter for this month has been released! No juicy sneak peeks this time, but there is a giveaway for Christoff, and here's a much better photo of Romeo, the flagship horse for 2022:

I'm glad I was able to snag one from Triple Mountain, because the preorders went up for Chelsea's Model Horses today and sold out in about a minute, so I'm glad I didn't have to try to compete with that. Good luck to everyone else who wants one! I haven't heard anything about Golden Oaks putting up their preorders yet, so there's still hope. I've ordered from them a few times and while things can be slow, they've always come through in the end.

This may be the last post I write for 2021, so I hope everyone has a good New Year! Here's hoping 2022 is a better year for all of us.

Whoa! Did not see that coming.

Well, the optional (or bonus) model for the 2022 Stablemates Club has been revealed, and...what a doozy!

Say hello to Helios! Though with that paintjob, he should have been called Hades. I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on him! I'm not crazy about his horn for some reason - I feel like it's not differentiated from his forelock enough. But that could just be me. I'm still rather conflicted about whether I want to actually join the club, because if it turns out I don't like whatever the new mold is, that means I'll be selling off all of them except the Fjord, and waiting almost a year to buy Helios. Bleh. I suppose I should just join and get it over with.

Speaking of getting it over with, the final release in the 2021 Premier Club is finally available to purchase!

We have until 1/12 to purchase them, so don't feel pressed for time. I'm glad they gave us a long purchase window, so we can have a chance to recover from Christmas.

And lastly, my Chalice is here!

Well done, Breyer. If the Premier Club models were this quality, no one would have anything to complain about. He's pretty much flawless and the amount of detail in his paint job is incredible. He's beautifully shaded, his masking is very intricate and perfectly applied, and he even has teeny eyewhites!

I'm happy that he came with a satin bag, as well - I wish the Stablemates Club would go back to the bags.

Too bad we have to wait a year to see the Deluxe Collector Club Stablemate for next year. Oh well - he'll have some pretty big (or small?) shoes to fill, going by how Chalice turned out.

Another Premier Club sneak peek, and other stuff

Greetings, readers! Today I bring you tidings of the 2022 Premier Club! Check out this sneak peek that was emailed out earlier today:

I believe we've already seen a closeup of this model's throatlatch area. He looks like some type of Andalusian to me - maybe a stallion to go with Hermosa and Corazon? I'd be okay with that. Could he be rearing? He looks like he may be doing something unorthodox. I could be wrong, though.

Also, the much-delayed selections for Montana seem to finally be going out - check your collector club account if you didn't get an email about it. I didn't enter, so there won't be one coming to our house.

Also also, apparently there's an email or something saying that Breyer is planning another collector event next year? Great, so they're going to make them a yearly thing now? That's just what I need....okay, must try to stay positive here. I hope I can get drawn for tickets this time! Sigh...

Dun: not even once.

Good news, everyone! Or, well, bad news if you're a Lyric collector like me. Anyway, the gambler's choice release for next year's Stablemates Club has been revealed!

So, those colors are chestnut, rose gray, silver bay and Giverny rainbow. I hate to say it, but most of those colors are kinda ho-hum except for the Giverny, and considering those models showed up in Breyerfest grab bags for years afterward, I may be in the minority in liking that one! Well, maybe the lackluster colors will make it easier to get my hands on these later, because I'm still not convinced I want more than one club membership next year. Interesting that of these four colors, they couldn't have at least one of them match the Fjord breed standard. I suppose if you squint really hard, the rose gray looks like a grayish dun?

Anyway, I'd really like to see a full-body photo of that decorator - I suspect it's going to be the hot item next year. Well, we have until the end of the year to sign up, so I suppose I'd better go ponder my choices.

Also, this year's warehouse sale is now active, but there isn't much there to get excited about. Apparently the collector club discount code (CLUBPLUS21) works in addition to the sale prices, though. Go forth and save, if that's your fancy!

That's gonna be a no from me, dawg.

Merry Christmas, readers! Well, this year's holiday surprise has come and gone, selling out in 15 minutes or less (I was a bit surprised by that) - say hello to Spice Drop!

Though, maybe they should be called the Spice Girls instead? Food for thought. Croi isn't my bag, so I didn't buy any of these, though the blue and silver one isn't too bad. Or the purple and silver. They should have gone with silver for the red and green ones, too. That red and gold is an eye-burning combination - I guess I'm just partial to silver. Anyways, despite being a run of 2025, these girls sold out way faster than I thought they would. Once again, there's going to be a "Coal" variant, with 12 glossy black Spice Drops randomly shipped to lucky buyers. It remains to be seen whether the black Spice Drop is in fact another Croi, or something on a different mold like last year.

In other news, we also got another Stablemates Club reveal today!

It's the Charleston! His name is Shelburne. Which means...the Lyric is most likely next year's gambler's choice release for the club. Sigh. I may just join on the one account and try to get the Lyrics secondhand later. He's not that popular of a mold, right? Right? Blargh.

Anyway, presumably they'll do a reveal of the Lyric gambler's choice next week, so I can use that time to decide whether I want more than one account next year or not. If so, it's going to involve a lot of reselling, and I'm not sure I'm interested in bothering with that anymore. I guess we'll see!

Spreading some Christmas cheer...

Well, it's that time of year again - time to log on and check our stockings (figuratively speaking) on Christmas morning! 11AM EST to be precise - Breyer has a surprise for us again!

For my wallet's sake, I hope it's something I don't need to buy. But at the same time, I hope it's something fun and festive and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOT A GAMBLER'S CHOICE FOR ONCE.

But that may be too much to ask for.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a merry Christmas!

Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket...

Exciting news today, readers! My Collector Appreciation orders came today! Huzzah! My first order consisted of two shirts, the Fireheart throw blanket and an ill-fated Beautiful Breeds Belgian ornament (more on that later). I love me some throw blankets, so the Fireheart one was an acceptable purchase, and I can always use more shirts. But...on with the reveal! Here's the glossy from my first order:

Whoo, glossy chase piece! Though, truth be told, I was hoping to get a glossy Andalusian, because the Smarty Jones models in my collection are probably going to get sold off next year due to lack of shelf space...but getting this glossy chase piece is threatening to make me change my mind. Glossy black pinto...how can I refuse?

My second order was pretty simple...enough 70th Anniversary blind bags to add up to $150. I was hoping to get a chrome Brishen, and while that didn't happen (out of 31 of those danged things, only two of them were even Brishens to start with), the glossy I got with this order totally made up for that!

That's right - the glossy palomino Hamilton, my first choice! Joy!

Oddly, on inspection after removing him from the box, it doesn't look like they glossed his mane or tail for some reason. Just...seems a bit of a strange choice. Are they all like that? I mean, he has the pearly effect on there already, but I never say no to more gloss, so...it just seems odd.

Also, it appears that these glossy models were made specially for the Collector Club Appreciation event, because they have VINs from this year and the boxes show the 8224 product number rather than having a UPC sticker slapped over the original one like in past years. Interesting...and might explain why the glossies didn't sell out, if they made a ton of them for this. Which means there will probably be leftover CCA glossies in the NPOD at Breyerfest this year. Just one more thing to look for, I guess!

In other news, my VIP apology pin came today as well:

I haven't yet managed to find a decorator Seven Arts for my herd yet, so it's nice to (kind of) have a smaller one in my possession. Now if my dratted pin board would ever show up...

And in other other news, my Zugspitze came yesterday! Behold the awesomeness!

What a chonk!

New silver sparkleponies never disappoint.

Quality-wise, all of these models are pretty nice - I didn't see anything wrong with any of them. Maybe Breyer's putting a little more effort into their QC? Who knows. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of assuming my Belgian ornament's ribbon ends were tied together when picking it up (you'd expect them to be tied, right?), so he promptly slid off the untied end and fell on the floor, breaking off both his ears and cracking two legs (turns out they're wire-reinforced). So that was a waste of $18. Still steamed about that one.

Anyway, I'm still waiting on my Chalice (and the last PC release of the year and the mini Fireheart), so I definitely have more things to look forward to, hopefully this month! Let's hope they come out soon!

They're here! THEY'RE HERE!

Stop the presses, everybody! Sound the alarm! EVERYBODY PANIC! Next year's releases have been announced! Finally, after waiting what seemed like forever....well, I'll get started with the 2022 Halloween Horse!

It's Maelstrom! Huh - his color is like a big version of the green/gold chase Friesian Stablemates from a few years back. Though it looks like some type of color-shift paint as well. Either way, I like it a lot! Sign me up.

Next, here's the 2022 Flagship horse, Romeo!

What's this? A silver bay Dundee? Don't mind if I do! I did manage to snag one from Triple Mountain before they sold out, but don't fret - other dealers will have him too.

I'm not going to put the photos here because I don't want this post to get really long, but those mystery unicorn Stablemate foal sets from TSC are also new for 2022, as well as the blind bag models that had also been showing up at TSC.

Next, say hello to Snowbird, the 2022 Holiday Horse!

Wow, I really like the tack on this one. Looks like some kind of Christmasy circus horse or something. Gimme!

Next, here's the first RR release on Altynai!

I like him! Though I have to wonder if it's only a matter of time before this mold gets a roached-mane release. He's certainly handsome in bay!

Next, here's a new Friesian!

I was a bit perplexed at this one, wondering why they'd put a Friesian on the Iberian version of Brishen when Vermeer is waiting for a solid black release, but apparently the real horse's owner picked the Iberian because he has issues with founder and she shaves off his feathers frequently. Okay then!

Next, here's the 2022 Ideal Orren Mixer Quarter Horse!

Geronimo looks handsome in palomino!

Next, here's a cute little set I can't believe hasn't been done before:

That's right - it's the Phantom and baby Misty! The story of Misty celebrates 75 years next year. Whew! Somewhere I have the Pictorial Life Story of Misty book - I'll have to dig it out and look through it again. A fitting release for the 75th anniversary - now if there was only a suitable pony stallion for the Pied Piper! Maybe someday.

Next, a RR release for Rhian and Cadell:

And in black, no less! I'll definitely have to pick these up.

There only seem to be a couple of new Classics releases, and one of them is the peace and love Andalusian we've already seen, so here's the new one: a mermaid Harper! Yes!!

I love this one! The scale pattern on the hind end is just perfect! Can't wait to get one!

There isn't a lot for new Stablemates, either, but check out these new Christmas tree ornaments:

Hmm...are there Stablemate versions of Ashquar and Bobby Jo coming in the future? Exciting stuff!

More 2022 releases can be seen here. Fun stuff! I'm glad we finally got to see the new releases! Now to see how long we have to wait until they actually get to stores...

Twist and shout (or: Ooh, Shiny!)

Good news, everyone! My Twist is here, along with Leti and Addie!

Whew! What a handsome boy. This guy is all stallion and he knows it.

I love his color - we don't get chestnut rabicano very often and I think they pulled it off pretty well despite his small stature. He does have some marks on his tail that are intended to be the Stablemate version of a coon tail, so don't fret - they're supposed to be there.

He's also a big boi - check him out next to a G2 Prancing Morgan, the closest older Stablemate I had at hand. Either Sequins is a small Morgan or Twist is a really big Arabian. Hmm, maybe Twist has some Polish blood? Heh heh.

Next, here's Addie!

My photo of her other side must have gotten lost somewhere along the way. Oh well. She's cute, though a bit lacking in detail. I like her color, though.

And here's Leti!

I still find it funny that we get a new Stablemate draft foal before getting a new Traditional draft foal, considering we've been waiting for a new one for oh, 30 years now? Maybe longer? They have to be doing it on purpose at this point. Well, maybe someday the poor Clydesdale Foal will get an updated companion.

Quality-wise, they were all pretty good, other than Twist's uneven nostrils - not sure what happened there.

Speaking of drafts, we got a reveal of another 2022 Stablemates Club release today! Say hello to Jameson!

Black pinto is always a striking color, especially in glossy! The G1 Drafter has always been a chonk, but I have to say he looks great in this color. Not great enough for me to keep him, but theoretically he'll be pretty popular on the secondary market. I could be wrong, though.

Anyways, it's good to have the new reveals coming left and right lately! Now if they would just show us the 2022 new releases...

Bunyan drawing and...Montana?

Exciting news, everyone - the selections for Bunyan have gone out! If you entered, check your email and see if you were drawn. Congrats to the winners!

In other news, we have another animal special run to enter for! Say hello to Montana:

He's a bit weird-looking, but...whatever floats your boat, I guess. He's an edition of 490, which is kind of a strange number - why not do 10 more and make it an even 500? Well, I'm not entering either way, so I guess it doesn't really matter to me. His price is $140, which isn't terrible. I'm just not an animal collector, though it is good to see a new special run on one of the little-used older molds Breyer has kicking around their warehouse. Entries end at 11:59pm on 12/22. Good luck to everyone entering!

Friday, December 17, 2021

Thank you, more please...(or, "NNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!")

Exciting news today, everybody - we have another Stablemates Club reveal! Behold:

Say hello to Phineas, the first realistic color on this Stablemate version of Prince Charming! He's that too-busy rose gray color I'm not all that fond of - which is fine, because I'd be selling this release anyway. I'm glad we finally got the reveal! My guess is they'll show the rest of the releases over the next few weeks - and on the website, they have the outlines in a different order than they were when they were revealed a few weeks ago. This rearranged order seems to indicate, unfortunately, that the Fjord mold will be the gambler's choice model this year. Drat! Double drat! I was really hoping I wouldn't have to have multiple memberships next year, or ideally not have any memberships at all, but it doesn't look like that's going to be possible.

It does beg the question of what colors they'll be...with that haircut they're a bit limited in what colors they can use, even if one of them is a decorator and another is a real Fjord color. I suppose both of his prior releases were hardly Fjord-faithful, so the question is probably moot anyway. I'll just be over here hoping Charleston is the gambler's choice, since I finally got both of the ones I had sold off a few months ago...

Bunyan (not to be confused with Babe)

Oooh, there's a new micro run ready to enter for:

I guess Breyer must have gotten a shipping container or two into the country lately, because the new releases seem to be hitting us hard lately. This one looks interesting, but I don't collect most of the animals. There's only 50 of him (or maybe 58? There's a typo somewhere), so good luck to everyone who wants him! You're gonna need it...

Anyway, we also got a look at one of the 2022 regular run models:

Ooh, it's Ansel in a beautiful dark chestnut! Reminds me of a horse I knew when I was younger. What a handsome guy! I definitely want him in my collection.

Success!

Well, the Collector Club Appreciation sale (or "sale") is still going on, and as of now the glossy models haven't sold out yet!

I managed to get a couple of orders in (lots of 70th anniversary blind bags coming my way), so hopefully I'm astronomically lucky and manage to get the Hamilton and the Andy first try! Looks like they must have glossed a lot of models to still have them be available 8 hours later, so be sure and get your orders in if you want to participate! Be very careful when placing your order and make sure you have the 8224 item in your cart and use the THANKS21 code at checkout. Also, some people have gotten hung up and not been able to use the code because they had the Ideal American Quarter Horse and blanket set in their carts - for some reason it's considered a special run and doesn't count toward the promotion. Anyway, good luck, everyone!

Tuesday, December 14, 2021

Well, that didn't work out like I'd hoped...

Somewhat frustrating news today, readers...the Collector Club Appreciation event is indeed making a return! Check out the glossy reward models!

Ugh, that palomino Hamilton is a must-have in glossy! But I already gambled that the CCA wouldn't happen this year and bought the regular run items I wanted for the year. Too bad I didn't wait a little longer to order those pins....bleh. Maybe I can cobble something together from shirts/blankets/Christmas ornaments. I'm also not terribly pleased that they upped the amount you have to spend to $150, considering we've been in a pandemic for the last two years and have a ton of other Breyer stuff to pay for before the end of the year. But I imagine the secondary prices on that Hamilton will be ridiculous, so I gotta try to get one the relatively easy way. I also wouldn't mind getting that Andalusian. In times past I would have wanted the Smarty, too, but it looks like I may be waving bye-bye to my Smarty Jones conga in the near future....But anyway. The sale goes live at 2pm EST tomorrow, so don't miss out! Hint: you can load up your cart in advance and then enter the code for the glossy reward model once it becomes active tomorrow!

Lots of exciting things today!

Greetings, readers! There's a lot of things to announce today - firstly, the selections for Zugspitze have been made, so check your emails and/or accounts! I'm happy to say I was drawn for one, so a silver filigree chonk will be coming my way soon.

In other happy news, Twist, the final entry in this year's Stablemates Club, is ready to order, along with the optional foal set Leti and Addie!

I purchased all of them - can't wait to see them in person!

In other exciting news, it looks like the Deluxe Collector Club model, Chalice (the glossy buckskin mini Alborozo) will be shipping soon, as he's been added as an unfulfilled order on my account. I also have an unfulfilled order for the VIP Breyerfest pin, so those must be shipping soon as well. Lots of fun things heading my way! Hopefully I see my backordered pin board show up soon as well...

Featured Model - 12/11/2021, Crescent City

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured Model, the weekly blog event where I pick a model I don't own but would like to, give some stats on it and provide commentary about it. This week's model is...Crescent City!

This handsome guy was item #712122 and a run of 48 on the Sherman Morgan mold sculpted by Jeanne Mellin Herrick.

It's hard to go wrong with this color scheme - metallic blue, black, pinto and glossy? Definitely a winner. Though if I'm going to nitpick, I'd have painted all his hooves black. But that's a small nitpick. Otherwise, he's scrumptious - no wonder Breyer has used this color a couple of times since then, on the G4 Icelandic and the rare variation of Ansel for this year's Breyerfest. He's to die for!

As for Sherman Morgan, he was last used as Prisma, the crystal horse for this year's Breyerfest. Prior to that he was an auction model for Breyerfest 2020. He'd had a bit of a break before that, with his last appearance being as the 2016 Christmas Day surprise model. So it's been a while since we've had an obtainable plastic release. It's hard to say where we'll see him next - maybe as next year's equivalent to Ambrose and Midas? I don't think he'll get a RR release anytime soon, since Troubadour is right there and he hasn't been a regular run yet (though he should be getting his first RR next year), and I don't really see him as a web special either. I guess we'll see eventually!

Now that's what I'm talking about

Hark, readers! We have a new sneak peek for next year's Premier Club!

Hmm, this is a promising sneak peek. I like what I see so far, but I'll have to see the whole model to be sure if it's something I want.

There's also a new angle of Zafirah, the first release in next year's club:

I do like her from this angle - love that fiery mane. I think I'd like her better if she wasn't lifting that hind leg, honestly.

Well, now I just have to get around to renewing my Premier Club membership, but I'll wait a couple more weeks in case we get even more tidbits.

Breyerfest 2022 Stablemates!

More exciting news today, everyone! Well, first off, the Breyerfest ticket structure for next year was announced yesterday, and quickly became a radioactive subject. I'm not thrilled that the VIP tickets are returning despite the debacle of this year's shipping (if I'd been guaranteed a Pollock, only to get shipped a Dani instead and then being told "tough luck, all the Pollocks are gone" when I was GUARANTEED to get one with my ticket, I don't think I'd have stopped calling them until they painted another Pollock specifically for me. Yes, that actually happened to someone, minus the painting an extra Pollock part).

From the blog:

VIP All-Access (VIP) Tickets - $230

Each VIP ticket will come with, or have access to, the following:

Entry to BreyerFest all three days

One (1) BreyerFest Celebration Horse Model

One (1) complete set of BreyerFest: Prost! Event Stablemates models

Pre-select and pre-purchase two (2) Special Run models

Pre-select and pre-purchase two (2) Limited Edition models

Complimentary, exclusive VIP Swag box

Access to workshops, including exclusive VIP sessions (additional fee applies)

Ability to enter BreyerFest model horse shows (additional fee applies)

Ability to enter BreyerFest contests

Complimentary KHP Parking pass, valid all three days of BreyerFest

Access to BreyerFest virtual content and shopping

Plus more!

I like how you still have to pay extra fees for the workshops and shows, 'cause nothing says VIP like still having to pay money like the rest of the plebes. I'd also expect to have free access to the lounge all weekend, though that may not be feasible if they sell 1,000 VIP tickets like they did last year.

They also appear to have done away with children's three-day tickets, which is...definitely something. Looks like we'll all be paying through the nose for our special run tickets next year.

Virtual tickets will not have access to the models from the special run line, but will be able to buy pretty much everything else, so I'm okay with it. 'Nuff said. I'm guessing this also means virtual ticket holders won't have access to the raffles or the live auction - also fine with me.

In other news, the single-day (or, General Admission) Stablemates were revealed today! Behold!

These are all acceptable choices, but the Alborozo just makes me groan. Give him a rest already! Plus his legs look weird. Maybe it's a sign that the mold needs a rest. I'm not into the G4 Hanoverian or the mini Clydesdale Stallion, especially with that hairdo and color (bay pangare is one of my least favorite colors), but I do like the look of that mini Emma. Must have! I suppose I'll have to grab a set and sell the extras, like usual. Though I'm hoping we get a larger version of the Emma's color. I guess we'll have to wait and see! I hope we get more exciting Breyerfest reveals soon - this is something we usually have to wait until May for, so I'm happy we get to see them now!

Edit: Oops, I forgot last month's Collector Club newsletter was finally released today also. Sheesh, they must have been really behind for it to be this late. Collector Club members, check your email - there's nothing terribly exciting now that we've seen the silver filigree release, but there's a giveaway for a Lugh and an article about sculptor Rich Rudish, artist behind the Sham and Lady Roxana molds. I had a few Shams in my collection back in the day, though like so many others, I sold them all off for shelf space. I guess I do still have a Lugh from last year kicking around, if anyone would like to buy him. Anyways, happy reading!

Silver filigree is back!

Exciting news today, everyone - we finally have a reveal of the silver filigree sneak peek! Check this guy out!

His name is Zugspitze. Kind of a mouthful, but whatevs. I love him! He’d make a great addition to my silver filigree collection. They upped production to 450, too, so I have a decent chance of getting one (I hope). They also upped the price, to $225 (gulp). But I haven’t been buying much lately, so I’m okay with it. I wonder how fast this one will sell out - it really wasn’t all that long ago that a run of 350 would get sneered at for being too common and languish on the website for ages before selling out. Get off my lawn, and such. But now we have so many people in the hobby that 350 isn’t nearly enough. I suppose that’s a good thing, in the long run - meaning we have a healthy number of people in the hobby.

It begins...

Well, I tried to resist...but the siren call of the pins overtook me, and...

Like a moth to the flame...sigh. It's been dang near a month since I ordered these, so I'm glad they're finally here.

Ironically (or not), it was the pin board that got me to order these, so of course mine is backordered and won't be back in stock until March. That's okay - maybe I'll get that at the same time as my Equidae, since our "local" (4 hours away) dealer apprently isn't getting their order until March either. But at least I have the Equidae pin to tide me over? Bleh.

I think the Josiah is my favorite of these pins, though - it's hard to say no to that shade of blue. And since I don't have the interest or the shelf space for any bubble-butt Belgians on my shelves, a pin makes a nice substitute.

Ugh, I was so looking forward to putting all these pins on my pin board with my Breyerfest VIP pins! Well, I'll really be looking forward to next March now, I guess. Or probably April, with the way things are going. Hey, maybe I'll get it on my birthday...along with the additional pins I may or may not have ordered today...

Featured Model - 12/5/2021, 2014 Auction Make a Wish

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured Model, the weekly blog event where I pick a model I don't own but would like to, give some stats on it and provide commentary about it. Oops...I guess Featured Model has been on hiatus a little longer than I thought it was. Carry on, I guess...with the 2014 Breyerfest Auction Make a Wish!

This model was a OOAK offered at the Breyerfest Live Auction back in 2014. She was done on the Make a Wish mold (head down, loose mane/tail version) sculpted by Kathleen Moody.

What a beauty! Bay isn't my favorite color, but I do have a bit of a soft spot for red bays with a little bit of white like this. For a comparatively "plain" paint job, she has a lot of attention to detail, and I really like her thin blaze. A quick check of the records shows she sold for...$1800. Too much at the time, but a pretty good bargain now, huh? Let's hope those auction prices get back to a more realistic figure in the future.

As for Make a Wish, her last appearance was as the brick-and-mortar SR Raia, in a color not too dissimilar from the above auction model. She hadn't been used for a few years before that, so it may be a few years before she's used again in any capacity, but you never know. I hate to sound like a broken record here, but I think she'd make a good Holiday Horse, too. Or perhaps next year's equivalent of Ambrose or Midas? She hasn't been a web special since 2010, so that's a possibility, too. As long as it's something I can get my hands on, I'll be happy!

2022 Stablemates Club molds!

Good news, everyone! We now have the silhouettes of all the releases in the 2022 Stablemates Club! Well, minus the new mold and the optional release. Anyway, behold!

From left to right, that's the G1 Draft, Charleston, Lyric and Prince Charming. Whew! None of those are anything I'm interested in except the Lyric, and with any luck he won't be the gambler's choice release. I may not even need to bother to join the club next year! It'd be nice to not have a bunch of stuff I need to resell for once. I don't think it'll be too difficult to find someone selling the Lyric and whatever the new mold is (if I even want it) secondhand next year.

I haven't rejoined the SMC or the PC yet this year - I like to wait until I see the whites of their eyes, as it were, and try to encourage them to show us more of what we're signing up for before I join. They did show us the Croi gamblers before the end of the year last year, so I'm confident we'll eventually see all of these before signups close. I'm excited to see what color that Lyric is, though!

Baltazar is available now!

Huzzah, loyal readers! This year's clearware Freedom Series winter decorator, Baltazar, is finally available to purchase

He's $29.99 and qualifies for free shipping. Yay! I won't be ordering this one, and he's been available for about an hour now and hasn't sold out yet, so let's hope that means they made enough to go around this time. He sure is pretty, though!
