Green Eggs and Sham makes a comeback!

Well, Breyer has posted this year's April Fool's joke - and it's a doozy! Behold:

For about a second I thought it was real, then realized what all the paint jobs were and laughed for a good 30 seconds. From left to right: that's the Sham commonly referred to as Green Eggs and Sham, Cinnamon on Lady Roxana (ridiculed because of the pinking shears blanket), Cloud on Swaps (much-maligned because...well, look at him), and the "Overo Paint" Stud Spider (I don't remember this one being as iconically disliked as the rest, though the execution of his pattern leaves something to be desired).

If it were me, I'd have replaced the fourth one with Khemosabi or one of the really, really yellow palominos from the 1980s. Khemosabi would be too obvious as an April Fool's joke, though, and the pinto Stud Spider is a little more visually interesting than a yellow palomino, so I can see why they did it.

I wouldn't expect to see these actually materialize soon, although it's possible they've decided to shrink some new molds to Stablemate-size - someone on the Internet pointed out the 70th anniversary Stablemates were announced in a similar way, so maybe there are some new Stablemates coming soon? Maybe we'll find something out tomorrow!
