Breyerfest plush revealed!

 Greetings, readers! A slightly unexpected reveal today - It’s this year’s Breyerfest plush!

Cute, but nothing I need, as usual. I like the tail, though. 

So all we have left to reveal for the Limited Editions is the Best of Breyerfest set and the online Stablemate and Traditional. Bring them on, I say! 

Breyerfest plush and Prague selections!

 To my great shame, I forgot about the Prague selections going out yesterday - how embarrassing! Well, anyway, check your email to see if you were drawn for a Prague. I didn't enter, but congrats to all the winners! 

In other news, the Breyerfest plush was revealed today! Say hello to Party Pal! 

He'll have yellow and blue pom-pom party hat options - so I guess he'll come with two hats? Huh, I figured it would be a split or something. Oh well. Nothing I need, but he's cute! 

The blog says the final reveal will be made tomorrow, so presumably the only thing left to reveal is the crystal (unless they switched it out for something else, which seems unlikely). See you then! 

Breyerfest plush reveal!

 Well, the reveal has been made - the sneak peek from earlier this week was indeed a plush! Behold:

Say hello to Percy! Nothing I need, but he's cute nonetheless. I guess they must have figured people wouldn't want to reserve him with a VIP ticket like the rest of the models? I mean, probably not, but you never know. 

Anyway, that means there are only a few more things to be revealed for this year's Breyerfest, unless they dump something new on us. We're just waiting for the live show prizes and the raffle models. Here's some off-the-cuff predictions
 
Live show sectional prizes: glossy Marc of Charm and Full Moon Rising ("NOOOOO!!!" to the first, but it seems inevitable at this point, and "ehh, okay" to the second)
Live show overall reserve grand prize: Desatado
Live show overall grand prize: Smarty Jones
Raffle models: Llywellyn and Vermeer

We have a plush!

Greetings, readers! Today's Breyerfest Limited Edition reveal is...the plush! Say hello to Sulky!

For today's Limited Edition reveal, we are so excited to show off to fans this year’s adorably squishable plush! Sulky is ready to roll in his snazzy BreyerFest silks, featuring the BreyerFest logo embroidered on his front and the Driving Forward logo imprinted on his back.

Nothing I need, but he sure is cute!  

I can't help but notice the blog post doesn't say there's another reveal tomorrow, so I'm guessing we either get nothing or a sneak peek for next week. Boo! Well, let's hope we get something anyway.

And as expected, he's wearing lederhosen. Cute! Nothing I need, but cute nonetheless. The blog post implies something else will be revealed tomorrow, so let's hope it's the Best of Breyerfest Stablemate set! 

In other reveals, the first test run drawing of the year has been unveiled - take a look at the model I'm dubbing Toast: 

...both for the state of our wallets after buying these things, and because it makes a nice contrast to strudel. 

All things considered, Classics test models that end up in the public's hands seem to be few and far between (at least, in the last 15 to 20 years); possibly because Classics just aren't as popular as Traditionals. There used to be a fair number of them in Breyerfest live auctions in the 1990s, but there hasn't been one in a live auction for a number of years now. I think Breyer gave away one of the Man o' War tests from the "Who wore it best?" competition collector club members voted on a few years back, but other than that I don't know of any Classics tests that escaped the Breyer offices in recent years. So this guy is pretty special! 

One might think he'd be a little more modestly priced, considering the Classics line's lack of popularity, but he's priced at $650 - not much less than a typical Trad test run. Nothing I need in my own collection, fortunately, though it'd be nice to own a genuine test model. Maybe someday!

 Well, I foolishly thought we'd get another reveal today, but we'll have to make do with another sneak peek instead:

This is almost certainly a plush horse wearing lederhosen (what else would it be?), but I'd be happy to be surprised! Guess we'll find out (hopefully) tomorrow! 

Breyerfest plush!

What a cutie! I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't have a hat, though. I like the multicolored blanket too. There's a quantity of 2500 on these, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult to get ahold of one. Let's hope, anyway. 

Finally, a Breyerfest sneak peek!

 After weeks of waiting, we finally have a new sneak peek on the Breyerfest blog! 

Looks like a plush to me! We'll get the full reveal next week. I like that they're leaning so heavily into the art theme! I wonder if he'll have a hat, too? Can't wait to see it!

In other news, the Fling! Souvenir Shop's swag is now available for preorder. Check that out here. Some of that stuff does catch my eye, but the shipping is a little steep. Looks like everything has to be preordered by May 31 though, so I'll have to think about it some more (personally, I think it's a few years too late for the Game of Thrones stuff, and season 8 ruined the whole series for me anyway, so I'm really only interested in the tank tops).

Aww, it's a little mini-Oliver, complete with a cape! What a cutie! I'm more excited to find out what the other teaser was, though...

It was the plush! Duh!

Durrrr. Not sure how I forgot about the plushie. His name is Furlong!



He's...interesting, but plushies aren't really my thing. That's certainly a hodgepodge of jockey-silks-looking designs they've got going on.

Oh well. On to the next exciting reveal!

Pink Elephants On Parade

The second (!) Breyerfest plushie was revealed on the blog last night, and it's...an elephant?!

Joining Holi is the adorable Jaipur! Jaipur is a friendly little pink elephant with embroidered details.

I don't think Breyer has ever done a second Breyerfest plushie before, have they? It's definitely cute, though not something I'm personally interested in.

So what do we have left to be revealed for the pop-up tent? I'm thinking the crystal, the Stablemate, and whatever tie-in merch they have planned? I don't think I'm forgetting anything else, unless they decide to throw a Polo Pony in there after all. Hopefully we get to see more things next week! 

Also, I can't believe I forgot to make a post about this, but True North is now available for purchase! Payment deadline is June 7, so we still have a bit of time to order him.

All's Well that Ends Well (and Lotus!)

The winners for Acadia were finally announced today, and I'm happy to say I was drawn! Can't wait to get him in hand. Meanwhile, over on the Breyerfest blog...

 

 The cuddle-y (sic) little Lotus has soft black fur with fun pink highlights in the mane and tail, embroidered flowers and a decorative collar as well as the distinctive BreyerFest Gateway to India logo.

I think you meant "cuddly" there, but I'll give you guys a pass since you haven't been having the best week. I'm kind of meh about this one - I liked last year's plush better (not that I'll buy it either way). I wonder what the pink one looks like? Probably the same as Lotus but with the black/pink reversed. I guess we'll see - hopefully tomorrow! 

Breyerfest Fluffies!

The latest hint on the Breyerfest blog looks suspiciously stuffed-toy-like...




So I'm guessing this is the plushie for the pop-up store. Or perhaps two plushies? Interesting choice of colors there. I don't usually buy the plushies, but they're usually pretty cute - last year's was especially nice. I hope they reveal it sooner rather than later!
