 Well, it's the end of the month and you know what that means...time for the Collector Club newsletter! If you're a club member, check your email for more. This month's newsletter features the Halloween store, a 10% off sale ("just because"), a feature story about filigree paint jobs, a Spectre giveaway, and this sneak peek:

Prevailing opinion is that this is the upcoming Brighty web special, Dryandra, but I'm mildly confused why they'd bother to sneak peek something they've already revealed? Seems odd. Guess we'll find out soon! 

Another sneak peek and official mid-year announcement!

 Greetings, readers! Well, I'll get the mundane out of the way first - we have our official announcement of this year's mid-year releases! Looks like all we're getting is the two Traditionals and some new CollectAs. Oh well. More excitingly, there's a new sneak peek on the Breyerfest blog! 

I feel like I should know what it is, but I'm not recognizing it. Is that a flank/hip on the right? It didn't match up with any of the molds I Could think of. It could also be a shoulder/belly, I guess. It's probably the live show grand prize. Guess we'll find out tomorrow!

Too bad we can't really glean anything from it other than maybe the color. Buttermilk buckskin? Palomino? Who knows. I'm going with buttermilk buckskin. Probably one of the live show prizes? Guess we'll find out!

 Well, no resolution to the previous sneak peek yet...but instead, we get another one! Behold: 

Eagle-eyed collectors have already pointed out this is probably a chestnut version of the appaloosa Valerio. Darn it! I was hoping it would be something I don't want. On the other hand, at least it isn't a mini Othello? I've been dreading that since they shrank him down. I wonder if the silent auction will set a record this year?

...and it looks suspiciously like a chestnut Troubadour. In the same shade of chestnut they've been doing for the Best Customs Contest prizes for the last few years. NOOOOOOOO! Another one I won't be able to get...sigh. At least he'll be pretty! Only 64 days until Breyerfest - woohoo! 

April Collector Club Newsletter!

 Wow, it's already time for the April Collector Club newsletter! Surprisingly early this time. If you're a Collector Club member, check your email for more. This month's newsletter includes a feature story about Black Beauty, a giveaway of a glossy Classic Black Beauty, and another tantalizing sneak peek! 

It's the next Exotic Destinations web special, per the newsletter, so all that's left is to guess the destination! And the model, but once again the photo is too zoomed in to really tell much, so...I'll be over here hoping it's not on a mold I collect. Some type of chestnut Appaloosa? Maybe those are manchado markings and the destination is somewhere in Argentina? Guess we'll find out next month!

 Good news, everyone! The March Collector Club newsletter has been released! If you're a CC member, check your email for more information. This month's cover story is a digitized version of an old video from a Breyer Tour stop in 1996. There's also a giveaway of a set of bears, Breyer's spring sale event, and this sneak peek: 

Looks like something roany. It's a new release for Collector Club members, so maybe this year's Classic gambler's choice? Or more April Fool blind bags? Hope we find out soon! 

February Collector Club newsletter!

 Greetings, readers! Well, the February collector club newsletter has been released - if you’re a collector club member, check your email to read it. This month we have a fun article about Breyer’s current-and-past Chinese Year of the Horse releases, including a rare image of some Classics tests. Check it out!

I was just thinking earlier today that we rarely get to see tests on the Classics molds, and it’s even rarer for them to go up for sale. Aren’t these cool? I think I like the yellow one the best, even though my favorite color is blue. And to top it off, there’s a giveaway of a Yan Wu model.

 Good news, everyone! There's a new sneak peek on the Breyerfest blog - behold! 

The general consensus is that it's a Dala horse, but what mold? I'm guessing it's the Classics release that'll be found in the store, but as for the mold, I have no idea. Guess we'll find out tomorrow! 

Last special run sneak peek!

 Greetings, readers! We have a sneak peek for the last Breyerfest 2026 special run (not counting the Limited Editions) - check it out! 

There have been a number of models released with molded-on feathers in the past, including the Indian Pony, Appaloosa Performance Horse, Nokota and Ruffian (possibly others I'm forgetting). The online consensus seems to be that the peek is showing the tail feathers on the Nokota, but it could just as easily be a different mold with feathers added. Guess we'll find out on Monday! Since the feathers are black, I'm guessing some kind of (decorator) reference to Odin and his ravens, but we'll see. I hope it's the Nokota!

 Good news, everyone! There’s a new sneak peek on the blog. Behold:

The sleuths out there on the Internet seem to think this is Cosimo, so I hope they’re correct! We’ve been waiting for him to show up. Do we think this one is an Appaloosa? I kinda hope so, but I’d be okay with a pinto too. The bigger question is: does the gloss drought continue, or is he shinier than he appears in the teaser? Guess we’ll find out tomorrow! 

Web specials, volunteer models and sneak peeks (oh my!)

Good news, everyone! Well, it looked like today was shaping up to be a boring day (at least in the model horse world; in my defense, I forgot about Breyermidwest), but then the reveals started coming fast and furious! First, a new Breyerfest sneak peek: 

I'm hoping for Rowan, myself. Saw some speculation that it was Georg or Cosimo. Georg is out, for reasons that will be revealed later in this post, and I doubt they'd do another black Cosimo right after doing a black one for the Premier Club. So I'm hoping it's Rowan! No preference on whether it's the mare or stallion version. 

Next, we got a reveal of this year's first Exotic Destinations web special! Say hello to Lisboa, named for Lisbon! 

From the email:

Ooh, he's pretty! I definitely want this one. Crossing my fingers that I get drawn! Anamar looks great in glossy bay. 

And lastly for today, I was sharply reminded that BreyerMidwest was happening today when I saw the reveal of this year's Ambassador (formerly known as the volunteer) model! Say hello to Vegvisir! 

But wait - palomino isn't his only color. There's a sooty buckskin too! 

As usual, the third (dilute) color will be revealed at Breyerfest. Perhaps a cremello, like Sonorah? One can only wait, and dream. I'm also happy that Georg was eliminated from contention as the surprise early - it gets tiresome seeing people predict him year after year. I'm sure he really will be the surprise someday; it just seems a bit too soon, yet. 

Limited Edition and another sneak peek!

 Greetings, readers! A bit of an oops yesterday - I was so busy with other stuff that I forgot there was a new reveal to post about. I’ll start with that - say hello to the latest Breyerfest Limited Edition, Pyxis av Drommarna!

That’s a bit of a quandary for me, isn’t it? I prefer Idocus with the braided mane - the loose mane does absolutely nothing for me. So I’ll have to decide if I want to buy this one or not. I’m not crazy about the mottling on his mouth and eyes, either. Looks like I’ll probably skip this one unless there’s also a braided version (unlikely). 

So, that was yesterday’s reveal. Today we got this terrifying sneak peek:

Gah! This one gave me a bit of a start when I first saw it. My first thought after recovering was that this was some kind of bull, but the consensus online seems to be that it’s some flavor of Ram. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow! 

Another new sneak peek!

 Greetings, readers! There’s yet another sneak peek on the blog today - behold!

Clearly it’s something buckskin or fun, or dunalino, and glossy! But other than that, your guess is as good as mine. I’m hoping for Cosimo, honestly. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow! 

Also, the names of our Best Customs Contest prizes have been revealed as well: Lingonberry for the first place prize, and Gravlax for the runner-up prize. And they’re awarding Gravlax to the third-place winners as well! I wonder if those will be a different color. I hope but…but anyways. With a name like Lingonberry, the grand prize has to be a pony, right? Rowan or the other Rowan? Or an older pony? Guess that remains to be seen.

 Well, I was right about a new sneak peek today! All right, it wasn’t that hard of a prediction to make, but still. Here’s the sneak peek!

No idea which model it is, but I’m hoping for Cosimo. Guess we’ll find out on Monday!

She’s got legs…and knows how to use them!

 Exciting news today, readers - there’s a new sneak peek on the blog! Behold:

I thought those were Cosimo’s legs at first, but the title of the post points to a female model and then more astute people than me figured out they’re actually Winnifred’s legs. So I won’t need to buy her! Huzzah! Not sure when the reveal will happen, but apparently an important announcement is coming tomorrow. Is it the VIP ticket price? I feel like that’s pretty important.

I can definitely tell it’s the end of the year!

 Greetings, readers! Lots of exciting things to write about today - I can definitely tell we’re approaching the end of 2025! I’ll start with the most exciting reveal: Flapjack the donkey!

As many people thought, Flapjack, also sculpted by Laura Skillern, is part of a set with Waffles. Nothing I need, but they’re both cute!

Next, we also have a Stablemates Club reveal:

Her name is Najwa! Pretty color, but nothing I need. Notably, while the majority of the run will be black rabicano, 217 of them will appear in chestnut rabicano instead in honor of 2026 being the Chinese Year of the (Fire) Horse. They’ll be randomly shipped, of course. What do we have left to reveal? Is the gambler the only thing left? I’m crossing my fingers that it isn’t anything I want. 

Next, a Breyerfest sneak peek was posted today! Behold:

It’s Enya! Presumably this is one of the event/single-day Stablemates. Nothing I need; maybe I’ll get lucky and won’t need to buy any of them this year. 

And lastly, the December Collector Club newsletter came out today! There’s an article about Premier Club sculptors, a Rowan giveaway and this sneak peek:

Most people think this is the black Vanner that was revealed a few days ago. Guess we’ll only have to wait another week to see the reveal - I’m seeing rumblings online that the 2026 releases will be revealed on Jan. W. I’m excited to see what they are! Will we finally get a regular run Adonis? Or a black Vermeer? Okay, okay, maybe I’m asking for too much here. 

The end of the 2025 Stablemates Club and a new sneak peek!

Greetings, readers! How embarrassing - Madonna and Harbinger finally became available to purchase yesterday, and I forgot to write a post about it! Oh well. These models are the conclusion to the 2025 Stablemates Club, and I can’t wait to see them! It’s going to be a while, though - they’re going to have to be shipped to NZ after we leave, because they won’t get here before then.

So anyway, in today’s news, we got a sneak peek for the 2026 Vintage Club! Behold:

Aww, it’s a miniature circus pony on the Stablemate Fighting Stallion! Cute! Nothing I need, but cute nonetheless. Interesting that they’re putting a costume on the freebie Stablemate, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. Too bad we (probably) have to wait a year to see him in person!
