Featured JAH - 12/6/2025, Annual 2022

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured JAH! We're covering the Annual 2022 issue this week, so without further ado...here's the front cover!

On the front cover, a handsome Battlefield Angel and rider have just won a fancy rosette.

Editor's Desk appears on page 2 as usual.

After skipping Artist's Sketch, on page 4 is this stunning photo of Breyer portrait horse Vivaldi de Besilu.

The Vivaldi article itself appears on page 5.

On page 6 we have the first page of the Breyerfest 2022 wrap-up. This was the first in-person Breyerfest since 2019, so it was a big deal! People were happy to be back in Kentucky.

The Breyerfest recap continues on page 6.

The Breyerfest wrap-up concludes on page 8.

After skipping an ad for Breyerfest 2023 and the 2022 Best Customs Contest winners, on page 12 we have the first page of an article about flying with models.

The flying-with-models article concludes on page 13.

On page 14 we have an article about BreyerWest's triumphant return to Denver!

The BreyerWest article concludes on page 15.

After skipping a couple of how-to articles, on page 19 is an article about the beautiful Battlefield Angel, who got his own portrait model in 2022.

After skipping an article about fantasy models, an ad for the 2023 Stablemates Club and online photo show results, on page 27 is an article about music box models.

On page 28 we have the first page of this week's Vintage Point, featuring Misty! The original Misty mold celebrated 50 years in 2022 and has been in continuous production since her debut.

Vintage Point wraps up on page 30.

After skipping a listing of Misty releases and an ad for the 2023 Vintage Club, on page 32 is an article about Misty of Chincoteague, the pony.

I read the Misty books as a kid, but was more partial to the Black Stallion series. But I did really enjoy reading the local library's copy of A Pictorial Life Story of Misty, enough so that I eventually bought my own copy and still have it.

The Misty article ends on page 34.

On page 35 is an ad for Anamar, but it included some in-progress photos so I didn't skip it.

On page 36 we have an article about 3D printing models.

The 3D printing article wraps up on page 37.

After skipping Hobbyist Q&A, on page 40 we have an article about Breyer portrait horse Adamek.

After skipping the 2022 New Product Guide, on the back cover we have the beautiful Snowbird, the 2022 Holiday Horse. And with that, we've reached the end of this week's issue! Check back next week for Annual 2023.
