Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured JAH! We're continuing through 2011 with this week's issue, so let's get started!
On the front cover we have a cute little Stablemates diorama.
On the inside cover, Weather Girl makes her debut! She did go on to languish in the Breyer "Vault" for five years, which may have backfired slightly, as she seems to have been a bit underused in the years since then. She's based on the bronze "Mascha" but with a different mane and tail. I kind of wish the version we got had the mane in the unpainted sample pictured here. The tail is slightly different, too. Wonder what happened there?
The Editor's Desk has now been combined with the table of contents/staff information, and is still not attributed to anyone. More importantly, it's announced in this issue that JAH as a magazine will be discontinued at the end of 2011, which was sad news all around. This issue is also much smaller than previous issues, sadly.

On page 2 we have the handsome Pamplemousse! Still a very popular release on the Wintersong mold, though they were plagued with quality issues and more had to be made to cover orders and replacements.
On page 3 we have a Breyerfest preview! Oh, that Muse...
On page 4, the lovely Nympheas makes her debut! She looks pretty in the promo photos, but her dapples ended up being very squiggly-looking and not well-received. I don't remember if I entered for this one, but...probably? Huh.
On page 5 we have the winners of the Diamond Dreams essay contest, which was done for Breyer's 60th Anniversary celebration. I wish we'd gotten to see the winner's special model!
Normally I'd skip the how-to article, but with how short this issue is, I don't think I need to. Here's an article about packing! That's always a timely subject.
The how-to article wraps up (hah) on page 7.
On page 8 we have Model Horse Show.
On page 9 we have The Artist's Sketch, featuring Sheri Wirtz.
On page 10 is the first part of the Vintage Point article featuring Big Ben!
Vintage Point continues on page 11.
Vintage Point concludes on page 12, with photos of the elusive Appropos live show prize and the highly-sough-after Monaco.
On page 13 we have On the Trail with Breyer!
The Calendar of Events is no more, at least in this issue, so that brings us to the back cover, featuring the mighty Kong! And that brings us to the end of this short issue. Check back next week for Summer 2011!
Big Ben in Vintage Point! He's my favorite, love to see it.
