We have a program!

More exciting news today, readers! We're two weeks out from Breyerfest, and the program was revealed today! Check it out here. Most importantly, we finally know what the raffle models are! Behold:

You Oughta Know...that I'm devastated about that raffle Georg. Gonna have to buy a lot of tickets this year! And You're So Vain...applies pretty well to the Llywellyn. (Also, I was right in predicting him! I mean, anyone could have predicted it, but I'm taking what I can get here. I can't remember who I predicted for the other raffle?).  I'm less enamored with him for some reason, but would still be happy to add him to the collection, should my name be drawn. Here's hoping...

We have raffle information!

Hold on to your butts, folks - we have raffle information!

The biggest news of the day - the raffles are now free for all ticket holders! We'll be able to enter once per ticket account holder, presumably to even the playing field for everyone. Plus, instead of the $20 in free raffle tickets we were originally promised, 3-day-ticket-purchasers will be able to enter once per account for a glossy Ballynoe Castle Celebration Model. Apparently there are only 10 of those, so I wonder where the other 30 are going? Interesting. Well, unless they only glossed 10 this year, which I suppose is possible. It would actually be 13, since the judges of the Best Customs Contest also get a glossy Celebration Horse.

I was a bit conflicted about this at first, but now that I've thought about it I'm okay with it - only being able to enter once per account for each raffle will even the playing field a LOT, aside from the inevitable few who bought tickets on multiple accounts (I am not among those people). The only really bad part is that the raffles usually bring in a lot of money for charity, which will no longer be happening, but maybe Breyer will be able to make up for it with the auction items.

Also, residents of Canada (except Quebec) will now be able to enter the raffles, presumably because we can now enter for free. Huzzah! Well, we don't have that much longer to wait - good luck with the raffles, everyone!

The reveals are coming fast and furious!

So many exciting things have been happening in the last few days! First, the next release in the 2020 Stablemate Club is now available:

That's right - Florian is ready to ship! Can't wait to see mine - I've always had a soft spot for the G2 Warmblood.

And in other news, the Breyerfest Sunday raffle model has been revealed!

Sheesh, and I thought yesterday's raffle model was beautiful! But yeah, I figured Altynai would be a raffle model! If/when Breyerfest is cancelled, I really hope they do the raffles online so we can still win these! From the blog:

Heather, found abundantly growing in the wild in Scotland (it covers approximately 5 million acres of land), is one of the nation’s national flowers and Scots have found many uses for it – from bringing good luck to brides to aromatherapy! It also features prominently in Scottish folklore tales.
The lithe and athletic Akhal-Teke mold (#805) was sculpted by Breyer’s own Heather Puleo, and will debut next month as our first Premier Club model of 2020. He is finished for our lucky Sunday Raffle winners in an eye-catching bay varnish blanket appaloosa, and now represents the unique Nez Perce Horse. He is fully decked out with amazing details, from his mottled nose to his detailed “toes,” and with plenty of mapping and spots in between!
(Emphasis mine) Because that has anything to do with a Celtic theme...sheesh. I guess I didn't complain about Order of the Thistle being a Saddlebred, so I can't really say too much. Either way, he's beautiful! Hope I can win one.

Ooh, the Sunday Raffle!

The mystery was finally revealed yesterday - the feet belonged to the Sunday raffle set!

Their names are Valour and Honour! Ooh, they're nice! I especially like the mare! But what would I do if I won this set? I'm not that into the foal, but splitting up a set this valuable wouldn't be a very good idea. First world problems, I guess - and I'd have to win the set first, which is a lot easier said than done. Maybe this year will be my year!

Somebody left that stand out in the sun too long!

So the Sunday Raffle model was revealed this morning! Huzzah! Meet Jackpot:

These are the first photos we've seen of the new Bristol mold, and I have to say, I definitely like him...I'll reserve final judgement until I get my own Bristol in hand, but at this point there's a 99% chance he's going to stay with me. I really like that particular "phase" of the jump!

Unfortunately, that stand leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently it's supposed to make the model more jump-friendly? To me it looks like somebody left it on the dashboard of their car too long on a hot day...either that or some kind of soft-serve ice cream fiasco.

I don't like his paintjob as much as I thought I would, sadly. I think it's the light-colored mane and tail; the blog says chestnut, but maybe they were going for a flaxen look on the mane and tail? I think I'd have liked a darker mane/tail better. Or if the color was bay instead of chestnut. Leopard isn't my favorite Appaloosa pattern, anyway - a nice extended blanket like Darjeeling or Fire would have been a definite showstopper.

I'll still be buying raffle tickets, though! Just...I'll probably try to find a different stand on the secondary market...

Another hint on the blog!

There's a hint about the Sunday Raffle on the blog! Check it out!

I'm pretty sure that's Bristol.

That shoulder musculature looks mighty familiar. It looks like our Sunday raffle is a beautiful bay (or chestnut) leopard appaloosa Bristol - and he's glossy! This guy is going to be a stunner, I can tell. I wonder if he'll look like last year's Darjeeling? I could definitely get behind that.

I suppose they'll also use this opportunity to officially debut Bristol's stand, since we haven't seen production photos of Bristol yet. I'm hoping it's the clear acrylic rod for simplicity's sake.

All in all, I hope we don't have to wait too long to see the raffle model! Maybe tomorrow? I'll cross my fingers.

The Breyerfest Sunday Raffle has been revealed!

Oh, snap! I was way off there. I thought the picture was of a mare - clearly that area is too dark to show a sheath. I give you - Rangoli, on True North!

So is it safe to assume that at least one raffle model will be on a current-year Premier Club mold from now on? I'm not really sure how I feel about that - Breyer is bending, if not outright breaking, one of the main tenets of the Premier Club - that models on those sculpts will only be available to PC members until the following year. They did this last year with Areia on the Geronimo mold as well. Now, this doesn't bother me a whole lot, because it's not like a run of 26 is a wide release, but...still. So, here's a shot of the model's other side.

He is quite pretty, and at least I guessed the color correctly, but for whatever reason I'm just not a fan of this mold. I wasn't a fan of Wyatt or Bobby Jo either (nothing against the sculpting artist, but I did make an exception for Avalanche). So, my True North will be sold when he gets to me. Which is fine; I usually sell at least one PC release every year. I'll still buy some raffle tickets for this one, because I always do, but if I win him he won't be staying. Hey, at least I'd be able to make back some of the costs of going in the first place! And this means my hopes of Yasmin in the special run line are still alive!

Here's the descriptive blurb from the blog:
Well, the wait is over - meet Rangoli! Named for his complicated belly spot and his very handsome overall appearance, the Sunday Raffle model is on Morgen Kilbourn's new Cantering Warmblood model (mold 739). This majestic horse is a sooty dappled buckskin with sabino markings. His single stocking, double socks, and white heel add to his complex design which also includes a partial blue eye and the aforementioned belly spot.
Named for his complicated belly spot, you say? The one you can barely see in either of the photos? Maybe an extra shot of the belly spot might have been a good idea, eh? Well, we'll see him in person soon enough.
