Featured JAH - 9/13/2025, Fall Finale 2011

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured JAH! This week's issue is Fall Finale 2011, and with this issue we're wrapping up the normal run of JAH as a regular magazine! Sad...but anyway. On with the show!

On the front cover, the beautiful Breyerfest special run Jasmine trots through a pretty scene created by Robin Briscoe.

On page 2 we have the Editor's Desk, now attributed to Stephanie!

Letters to the Editor appears on page 3.

On page 4 is the first page of the JAH Through the Years retrospective, starting with the '70s.

The retrospective continues on page 5.

The retrospective keeps continuing into the '80s on page 6...

The retrospective wraps up the '80s on page 7...

...and continues into the '90s on page 8.

The '90s wraps up on page 9.

The retrospective continues into the 2000s on page 10...

The retrospective finally wraps up on page 11!

On page 12 we have an ad for Breyerwest back when it still took place in California, featuring the pretty special run model, Fontana!

On page 13 we have the reveal of Dandy, the first model in the then-brand-new Vintage Club! This was back when the club was limited to 500 memberships.

After skipping a how-to article, Artist's Sketch, an ad for the poorly-selling Blossoms series, Winners' Circle and a reveal of the Breeds of the World resin series, on page 20 we have the very last Connoisseur model, Thrillseeker! This edition of Lonesome Glory has a flippy tail, the only time we've seen it on this mold. On the one hand, I remember being annoyed that they'd repeated another mold in the series (imagine how pretty this color would have been on Weather Girl!), but on the other hand, it does sorta bring the series full circle. So I can see why they did it.

After skipping Model Horse Show and another how-to article, on page 26 we have a 2012 events preview, including the reveal of the Passage to the Pacific collector event.

On page 27 is a preview of Breyerfest 2012, the first Breyerfest we attended in person!

After skipping the 2011 Year in Review, on page 30 we have a 2011 events wrap-up, starting with the Sunshine Celebration collector event! Also known as the event I'll forever kick myself for not attending.

The Sunshine Celebration wrap-up concludes on page 31, along with a small wrap-up of Equine Affair.

The Breyerfest 2011 wrap-up starts on page 32.

Breyerfest wrap-up continues on page 33.

More Breyerfest wrap-up on page 34.

The Breyerfest wrap-up wraps up on page 35.

After skipping the 2011 New Products Guide (now a staple of every yearly JAH), and the first page of the Premier Club preview (I think we all know what Desatado looks like), on page 45 we have the introduction of the Premier Club! Desatado was the first model in the club, which continues to introduce three new molds per year to this day.

On page 46 is this week's Vintage Club, this time featuring JAH special runs through the years!

Vintage Point continues on page 47...

...and page 48...

...and page 49...

...and finally concludes on page 50.

After skipping the Fall Introductions, On the Trail with Breyer and the Calendar of Events and the Equestral Crystalworks reveal, on the back cover we have the 2011 Holiday Horse, Winter Belle! And with that we've reached the end of this issue and the end of the regular JAH publication schedule. We do still have the yearly JAH (which should be out soon), but I do miss getting the magazine in the mail and seeing the new releases and JAH special runs. Technology wins again, I guess. Check back next week for JAH 2012!
