Featured JAH - 11/8/2025, Annual 2018

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured JAH! As you may have noticed (and I kept forgetting to mention), Featured JAH was on hiatus last week due to Hoofbeats and Maple Treats. But this week we're covering the Annual 2018 issue, so let's get this party started!

On the front cover we have a handsome gray Shannondell modeling a stallion harness by Tiki Kulp.

In the Editor's Desk, Stephanie announces Breyerfest 2019 and also the website update we all know and love! I think the website has been updated a couple times more since then, but this was the most major update we'd had in a few years.

On page 3 we have some in-progress photos of Emerson, the third release of the 2018 Premier Club.

On page 4 we have Artist's Sketch, featuring Josine Vingerling. I usually skip this feature, but included it this time because of the famous viral cobra mares - I remember seeing it on Facebook at the time and the arguments over whether it was real or not.

After skipping an ad for the 2019 Premier Club, on page 6 is the first page of an article about the 2018 WEG.

The WEG article concludes on page 7.

On page 8 we have an article about Breyer portrait horse LV Integrity.

On page 9 is the first page of the Breyerfest 2018 photo journal.

More Breyerfest 2018 photos on page 10.

Even more Breyerfest 2018 photos on page 11.

And the Breyerfest 2018 photos conclude on page 12.

After skipping the 2018 Best Customs Contest winners, on page 15 we have an article about Breyer portrait horse Harley, who can still be seen ponying racehorses at Keeneland and elsewhere!

On page 16 is the first page of the article about Justify, the 13th and most recent (as of this post) horse to win the Triple Crown.

The Justify article concludes on page 17. Justify is currently standing at stud at Coolmore at Ashford Stud and setting the world on fire in the breeding shed.

After skipping most of Hobbyist Hangout, on page 26 is an article about Breyer portrait horse Latigo Dun It. As far as I know, LDI is still alive, but has retired from performing.

After skipping the rest of Hobbyist Hangout, on page 36 is an article about King, another Breyer portrait model.

On page 37 is the first page of Vintage Point, this time featuring the Pacer!

Vintage Point concludes on page 38.

After skipping the last page of Vintage Point (a listing of Pacer releases) and the 2018 New Product Guide, we've reached the back page of the magazine featuring the beautiful Celestine! Still one of my favorite colors on this mold. She's so pretty! And that brings us to the end of this week's issue. Check back next week for Annual 2019!
