They do exist!

Exciting news, readers! This year's TSC special runs appeared on the website today! Search "Breyer" on TSC's webpage and they'll be at the bottom of the last page (try not to pass out when you see them!). I was starting to get worried that we'd all been pranked or something. Anyway, the two special runs we were expecting (Brooks, on the Troubadour mold and Colby, on San Domingo) are included, as well as two more we didn't know about! Say hello to Martina:

A new Forever Saige! Be still, my heart!

We also get a new Firefly, called Emery:

She looks black in that little picture, but she's actually blue, in a nod to the blue FFA jackets.

Here's Colby again:

Nice color, but nothing I need.

And lastly, here's Brooks again:

I definitely want Brooks and Martina, so I guess I'll be checking the local TSC stores a while longer. I wonder if we'll get more later? Seems odd not to have some new Stablemate sets, too. Maybe the tariffs killed them or something.

Also, my second replacement Rowan shipped yesterday, so hopefully the third time's the charm on this one!

Featured JAH - 9/27/2025, Annual 2013

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured JAH! This week we're covering the annual 2013 issue, so let's get going!

On the front cover we have a diorama featuring the then-new RCMP model on Big Ben!

In the Editor's Desk, Stephanie talks up 2014 and gives a brief overview of the magazine, including the New Product Guide that now appears in each year's issue.

On page 4 we have the first part of the RCMP article.

The RCMP article concludes on page 5, with another view of the RCMP model. I had this model at one point and always thought the glossy maple leaf on his butt was pretty cool.

Moving right along, on page 6 we have the first page of an article about Frankel!

The Frankel article concludes on page 7, with a photo of his model! I always thought he was one of the more handsome Smarty Jones releases.

On page 8 we have an article about three-day eventer and author Pippa Funnell.

After skipping an ad for some of Pippa's books (and tie-in models), Artist's Sketch and the reveal of Icicle, the 2013 Limited Edition, on page 13 we have a short article about Snowman.

The Breyerfest 2013 recap starts on page 14, with Smart and Shiney showing off his luxurious locks.

The Breyerfest recap continues on page 15.

More Breyerfest recap on page 16, including some droolworthy auction models.

More Breyerfest on page 17.

Even more Breyerfest on page 18!

The Breyerfest recap wraps up on page 19. Notice the glossy Haflingers awarded to winners of the children's division of the costume contest - most of those seem to have disappeared into the ether, sadly.

After skipping a how-to article, on page 24 we have the first page of an article about Breyer sculptor Chris Hess.

The Hess article wraps up on page 25.

After skipping another how-to article and an ad for the 2014 Collector Club, on page 30 we have a promo for the 2014 Live Show Benefit Program. I wish they'd bring that back!

After skipping an ad for a new release of the Appaloosa Performance Horse, as well as the 2012 and 2013 New Product Guides, on page 48 is the first part of this week's Vintage Point featuring the Stretch Morgan!

Vintage Point continues on page 49.

More Vintage Point on page 50.

Vintage Point wraps up on page 51.

On page 52, On the Trail with Breyer provides updates on various happenings in the model horse world, including the dedication of the Sgt. Reckless statue.

On page 53 we have a reveal of the then-next collector event, the Big Easy Bash!

On the back cover we have a reveal of Wyatt, the first release in the 2014 Premier Club. Great placement of the address sticker there, just perfect. And with that, we've reached the end of this week's issue! Check back next week for Annual 2014!

September CC newsletter and new site additions!

Greetings, readers! Well, the enablers out there have convinced me (there’s at least one of them, anyway), and I did end up purchasing a Juriaan today. He can keep my matte Seurat company while I work on rebuilding my Vermeer conga. Good thing there aren’t very many of him! In other news, several new items were added to the Breyer site today, starting with these beauties:

Wow! Nothing I need, but they sure are pretty! They’re $150, but that gets you a CCA order in one fell swoop, so that’s a pretty good deal in my opinion. It’s nice to see a family set, too! We hardly ever see those anymore, other than the Stablemate families. I thought about ordering a set for the CCA model, but I already have the glossies I want from this offering, and I did end up putting together a CCA order consisting of other stuff I wanted, including this year’s fall Classics decorator!

His name is Sylvan. Isn’t he pretty? I like his silver-purple color.

Other website additions I didn’t buy include this new Misty:

Her name is Cuddles, which is disconcertingly close to Puddles, at least in my vernacular. YMMV, I guess.

We also get this unicorn whose name I’ve forgotten, which was previewed in the CC tent at Breyerfest:

Pretty, but nothing I need. There’s also this:

What a cutie! Though also nothing I need. That’s it for the new stuff for now, but be sure to check your email if you’re a Collector Club member, because this month’s Collector Club newsletter is out! There’s an article about model horse showing in other parts of the world, a new workshop, an Arachne giveaway, and this sneak peek:

Prevailing opinion on the Internets is that it’s Fireheart. Ooh, he’d be pretty in silver filigree! I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the reveal!

Juriaan is coming tomorrow!

Attention, Collector Club members wanting to purchase Juriaan!

He'll be available to purchase tomorrow around 1pm EST, so set your alarms! Looks like I'm going to have a decision to make, because I have been regretting selling my models on this mold and I want to buy Juriaan. I usually don't regret selling models, but I think it may have been a mistake to sell mine - I feel sad every time I think about my original Vermeer, and my daughter was sad that I sold Leif and sometimes asks why I sold him. But if I buy Juriaan, I have to buy all the other Vermeers back, and there's no way I'll be able to get my hands on an original Vermeer for less than $400, which I don't want to pay. Decisions, decisions...but he's so pretty!

Collector Club Appreciation returns!

Good news, readers! If you missed out on the Collector Club Appreciation event earlier this year, it's back!

Purchase $150 of qualifying merch to get a free glossy model, or just pay $175 for the model! It's up to you. I already got the two glossies I wanted (Cossaco and Atlanta), so I'll be sitting this one out.

Deluxe Collector Club models are available!

Attention, Deluxe Collector Club members! This year's deluxe club models are now ready to order!

You'll be able to place a no-cost order (presumably from the Collector Club Home page) to receive your models. Each Deluxe club member will receive Darius, the Appaloosa one, plus one of the other colors selected at random (along with the gift box and Deluxe Collector Club pin). Apparently those colors don't get a name. I didn't join the deluxe club this year since I don't collect the Semi-Rearing Mustang (in any size), but I hope everyone gets the color they want! Or colors, if you want all of them.

Featured JAH - 9/20/2025, Annual 2012

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured JAH! With JAH having ended its normal run at the end of 2011, we're entering a new era for JAH with this week's issue. Since 2012, JAH has existed only as a year-end freebie for Collector Club members, so read on to see what was in the Annual 2012 issue!

On the front cover, Brishen (third release in the 2012 Premier Club) frolics near a caravan.

In the Editor's Desk, Stephanie announces the now-defunct (again) Live Show Benefit Program, recaps the year and talks about upcoming stuff as usual.

On page 3 we have "Spreading the Word about the Model Horse Hobby," featuring various displays and events Breyer was involved with over the year. The Breyer display in the KHP Kids' Barn is no longer there, sadly.

On page 4 we have the first part of an article about preparing for a live show, by prominent collector Sande Schneider.

The live show prepping concludes on page 5.

On page 6 is the first page of an article about the legendary Northern Dancer.

The Northern Dancer article concludes on page 7, with a reveal of Northern Dancer's portrait model.

On page 8 we have an article about the making of the cover diorama!

The diorama article continues on page 9.

More diorama article on page 10.

The diorama article concludes on page 11.

On page 12 we have an article about the NAN 2012 show.

The NAN article concludes on page 13.

After skipping Artist's Sketch, on page 16 we have the first page of a Breyerfest 2012 photo recap! This was the first Breyerfest I attended!

The Breyerfest photos continue on page 17.

More Breyerfest photos on page 18.

The Breyerfest recap concludes on page 19.

After skipping a how-to article and an ad for Sergeant Reckless, on page 23 is the reveal of the first release of the 2013 Premier Club! Although not mentioned here, members were able to select a matte or glossy finish for their Carrick model, the first time they were able to do so.

On page 24 we have Vintage Point, covering various vintage colors.

Vintage Point continues on page 25.

Vintage Point continues to continue on page 26.

Vintage Point concludes on page 27.

After skipping an ad for Breyerfest 2013, on page 29 we have the reveal of the first release in the 2013 Vintage Club!

On the back cover, we have a short list of reasons to join the Collector Club, with photos of that year's web specials and a couple of giveaways, including the droolworthy Caramel Macchiato (misspelled here). I think it's about time for another test model giveaway - hint, hint...

And with that, we've reached the end of this week's issue! Check back next week for the Annual 2013 issue!
