Featured JAH - 6/21/2025, Sept/Oct 2009

Hello and welcome to another edition of Featured JAH! We're covering Sept/Oct 2009 this week, so let's get going!

On the front cover we have the then-new Cloud family set.

In the Editor's Desk, Arlene recaps Breyerfest. There's also a preview of Autumn, the fall 2009 Retailer Special.

Letters to the Editor appears on page 3 as usual.

On page 4 is the first part of an article about Cloud and his family.

The Cloud article wraps up on page 5.

On page 6 we see the first part of the Breyerfest photo montage! Behold!

Breyerfest photos continue on page 7.

Breyerfest photos continue on page 8! RIP Pokerjoe (and Roxy).

Breyerfest photos continue to continue on page 9!

There's no end to the Breyerfest photos!

Have we finally reached the end of the Breyerfest photos, on page 11?

We did reach the end of the Breyerfest photos! Whew. Say hello to Widow Maker, the first Connoisseur bull!

After skipping The Artist's Sketch, Mailbag and Model Horse Show, on page 16 we have the notorious Cream and Cocoa! This set, uh...wasn't a great seller, at all, and could be found in the NPOD at Breyerfest for years afterward. They might still have some of them now! The colors are nice, but the Grazing Mare and Foal just aren't very popular. Oh man, what if they came out with a Susecion and Le Fire set in these colors? Those would fly off the shelves!

On page 17 we have an update on Breyer UK and Breyer Canada!

After skipping Winners' Circle and two how-to articles, on page 24 we have the first page of this week's Vintage Point, featuring Silver!

On page 25 is the list of the Silver releases up to this point in 2009, which is impressive considering the mold was only 8 years old at this point. It really can't be overstated how popular Silver is/was! The sheer number of releases is the reason why Silver is used rather sparingly these days - people were just getting tired of all the new releases.

Wha? A third page of Vintage Point? Well, it is Silver we're talking about - he needs a lot of space to cover all these releases.

After skipping the Calendar of Events, on page 28 we have On the Trail with Breyer, featuring the beautiful Del Mar!

On the back cover of the magazine we have the beautiful Water, final entry in the Ethereal series! How embarrassing - I thought Fire was the last one. Oh well! And with that we've reached the end of this week's issue. Check back next week for Nov/Dec 2009!
