Who is that donkey?!

 Well, readers, we got the full reveal of the Premier Club pony today - say hello to Waffles!

Pretty color, I guess. But the bigger question is, who is that donkey in the background? Will this release be a donkey/pony set after all? Here’s the pony from the other side.

I’m sorry to say it, but I  think this might be the first Premier Club release I actively dislike. Usually I’m just ambivalent, but not this time. That neck is too short and the whole pony looks like he desperately wants to be bigger. 

But anyway. Someone on the Internets noticed the donkey is the same (or extremely similar to) as the one Laura Skillern sculpted for a BCC entry a couple of years ago.

Here’s the donkey in question. I generally don’t like models with textured coats, so it’s unlikely that I’m going to want the donkey, either. But I’ll wait till I see a full reveal to decide for sure. Merry Christmas, everyone!
