Exciting news today, readers! The new releases for 2026 (or most of them) appeared on Amazon today! I’m typing this on a cell phone and don’t want to upload all those photos here, but I’ll show some of them. I’ll start with the new Adonis!
At long last, we’re getting a regular run Adonis! Now the question becomes: will they ever use his original base/tail again? It’ll remain a mystery, I guess.
I’m not usually a fan of Shannondell, but I really like this color! He’s like a robot, but in a good way. Actually, he reminds me of the unicorn from the greatest (sadly defunct) mobile game of all time, Robot Unicorn Attack. That’s why I like him!
This one is in honor of 2026 being the year of the Fire Horse in the Chinese zodiac! I like his gold mapping and splash pinto markings.
This is the Orren Mixer Ideal Pinto! I thought the Mixer series was over, but I’m not disappointed to be getting another Hamilton. As long as he doesn’t become a Breyerfest prize model, of course.
Other new Traditionals include a chestnut Geronimo, dapple gray Bandalero, the black Rhiannon (all portraits), and a patriotic clearware set on Tigerlily and the Andalusian goal for some reason, rather than Firestorm. I’m a little bummed about that. There’s also a new bear set! Huzzah. Well, on to the Classics!
Yay, lots of new Lcassics! I want the American Dream, Love and Harper. But where is Love’s foal?
Once again…where is the foal? This will be the third release since this mold’s debut and they’re not using the foal in any of them? I’d like to see it in a non-decorator color someday…
I’m not usually a fan of pink, but I like it for this release (for some reason). Seems like I’m the only person that does like it from the reaction online, though. It would probably help if the spots weren’t so uniformly patterned.
There are also some new Little Bits and Stablemates releases, including a unicorn cart/wagon, a castle (?!), a mountain stock horse set and another patriotic set.
That’s it for today, but theoretically there will be even more reveals tomorrow - we have yet to see the 2026 Holiday Horse and Halloween horse, and hopefully there are more Stablemates and Classics to reveal, too. And on a side note, I discovered Amazon AU offers free delivery to NZ, so I may not have to wait as long for this year’s regular runs as I thought! Yay!
The bear set is so reminiscent of the first release, in the 70s, that I'm having a hard time calling it new. Apparently 50 years is long enough that Breyer thinks people will forget. Sorry Breyer! On the good side, that "red splash" on the Anamar is finally a color I really like, enough to tempt me to get my first one of that mold. Thanks for sharing!
